Diana Dow, a paralegal with Cooper & Walinski, LPA, was recognized by the Ohio State Bar Association on July 27, 2007 as a Certified Paralegal. Mrs. Dow has been employed at Cooper & Walinski since 1981. This is the first year that The Ohio State Bar Association has offered a credentialing program for paralegals. Eighty-two paralegals were in the first class to receive certification, only three from the Toledo area. To qualify for certification, a paralegal must have had a prescribed amount of formal education or work experience and must have pursued continuing legal education. To receive certification, candidates must pass a written exam on law, ethics, communication, computer knowledge, law office management, and legal research and writing.
Mrs. Dow specializes in civil litigation, providing support throughout the process of litigation, including trial. She has assisted attorneys in contract disputes, disputes over insurance coverage, and in products liability and personal injury cases. She has expertise in the organization, management, and retrieval of information for complex litigation.
