Meredith L. Mercurio

Meredith is a shareholder who practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, tort defense, and general litigation.   She handles all aspects of civil litigation and has conducted hundreds of depositions, including numerous expert depositions.  Meredith has extensive experience in motion practice and has represented clients at mediations and in trials in state and federal courts. Meredith has successfully defended appeals.

Meredith is a member of Cooper & Walinski's Executive Committee and is the chair of the firm's Long Range Planning Committee.  She is also the deputy chair of Cooper & Walinski's Tort Litigation Group.

Meredith was the Executive Editor of The University of Toledo Law Review.  She graduated magna cum laude from The University of Toledo College of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif.  Meredith also received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Toledo where she graduated magna cum laude with Honors in English.

Before joining the firm, Meredith served as a law clerk to the Hon. James D. Jensen, Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
