Janis E. Susalla Foley
Ms. Foley practices primarily in the areas of Litigation Management, Employment and Labor law, and nursing home defense litigation.  She handles employment litigation and nursing home defense before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.  Ms. Foley also serves as national discovery counsel for asbestos litigation, managing a large document repository and developing consistent, defensible written discovery responses.  Ms. Foley assists clients with employment policies, personnel forms, and employee handbooks, conducts employee investigations, and gives management training seminars for clients. 

Janis has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer in 2004, 2005 and 2006 by Cincinnati Magazine.  She serves as a mediator in employment and personal injury matters and she mediates in three states for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Indianapolis District Office.  Janis has also authored several articles on various topics. 

Before joining the firm, Janis served as law clerk to Hon. Nicholas J. Walinski of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Western Michigan University in 1980 and received a law degree cum laude from The University of Toledo in 1986.  Janis is a member of the Order of the Coif.
