She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University in 1993 and received a law degree magna cum laude from The University of Toledo College of Law in 1998.  Kim was the Executive Editor of The Toledo Journal of Great Lakes’ Law, Science & Policy, a member of The University of Toledo Law Review, and is a member of the Order of the Coif.
