PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 3, 2010
Toledo, OH – The publication Ohio Super Lawyers 2010 has recognized six members of Cooper & Walinski as “Super Lawyers.” Only 5% of the lawyers admitted to practice in the state are selected for that recognition.
Attorneys were selected based on their experience, representative clients, verdicts and settlements, transactions, honors and awards, special licenses and certifications, position within the law firm, professional activities, pro bono and community service, and other criteria.
In addition to “Super Lawyers,” the magazine recognizes “Rising Stars.” The selection process for “Rising Stars” is the same as for “Super Lawyers,” except that the attorneys must be 40 years old or less or have practiced law for less than 10 years. No more than 2.5% of attorneys in the state are named to the “Rising Star” list.
For 2010, more than a quarter of Cooper & Walinski's attorneys are listed in the Ohio edition of Super Lawyers.
“Having so many of our attorneys recognized in this way is a special honor,” said Margaret Bretzloff, Director of Operations for Cooper & Walinski. “We are thrilled that so many have been listed.”
Recognized as “Super Lawyer” are:
- Cary Cooper
- Richard Walinski
- John Czarnecki
- Janis Foley
- Margaret Lockhart
- Gerald Kowalski
The “Rising Stars” are:
- Meredith Mercurio
- Brad Hubbell
